Wed. night activity--Stake Fireside with Elder Hamula of the Seventy

Hi everyone!

Please be sure to remind your youth that our stake fireside is this Wednesday, October 8th at 7pm. 

It will be held in the stake center chapel (Sunday dress). Our speaker will be Elder Hamula Of The Seventy; his wife will also accompany him. 

(Note: He spoke Sunday in the second session of conference.) 

We will have refreshments and a short mingle afterward.

We hope that you all will be in attendance; it will be a great evening!

Young Men update (July 18, 2014)

Here's the latest news involving the Young Men program. Please pay particular attention to the things in RED.

1–Activities last week/this week

The combined activity this last week (YW/YW) was frisbee golf. 

This Wednesday (7-23), there will be no activities due to family week.

The following week is a combined young men activity.

Here's the latest news involving the Young Men program. Please pay particular attention to the things in RED.

1–Activities last week/this week

The Scouts are continuing to work on things to get ready for summer camp In early August. They finished another project last week with Gary to prepare. 

The Varsity Scouts are also continuing to work on the cooking merit badge. Last week we fulfilled some requirements at my house.

This Wednesday, we will meet at the church at 7:00. The YM and YW will go play frisbee golf for our combined activity this month. If you have a frisbee, please make sure you bring it.

The Young Men are in charge, and Bryce is the Presidency member over this activity.

PLEASE READ AND REPLY TO #2: Young Men update

Hi everyone!

A few housekeeping items:

1-Everyone should know by now, but the YM Presidency has recently changed. A big THANKS to Cory and Matt, and a big WELCOME to Bryce and Chad.

2-Auction items that still need fulfilled:

1-Bobbie Adsitt (2 hours)--I will own this project with Jensen

2-Aguirres (1 hour)--pulling weeds--Bryce, can you own this with a couple young men? One could be Braden Aguirre. Jenny A.'s number is (801) 703-7353.

3-Backmans (2 hours)--Chad, can you own this with a couple boys in the Deacons Quorum? Lucinda's number is 801-270-0117.

4-Marlett McKinney's mother in Riverton (10 hours)--misc. jobs, but need a truck for a few trips to the dump (she will reimburse for dump fees).

Gary, Bryce, and Don: Could we use your trucks to complete this job on 6-25 (last Wed; YM combined week)? We will need to announce this to the boys; this is a big enough job we need the majority of boys and leaders there.

Please reply to this so I know you read it and will accept the assignments.

3-Do we have any young men that need to meet with Don for rank advancement?

4-The next 2 weeks will be Scouts on Wed. Matt, I'd like to talk to you about maybe having you try to get the young men that are close to Eagle, along with their parents, to an "Eagle Packet" training meeting where they understand the contents of a packet that walks them through the process from A-Z.
